What you can say
A rule picks a group of products and says what should happen to them. You can pick products by type, tag, vendor, colour or a word in the title, and move them to the top, push them up, sink them down or send them to the bottom. Add an end date if you want one.
| You type | StoreAi saves |
|---|---|
| Push linen until 31 August | Tag or title contains linen → push up, until 31 Aug |
| Winter coats first until the end of November | Type is Coats → top, until 30 Nov |
| Anything from Field & Fold lower this month | Vendor is Field & Fold → sink, until the end of the month |
| Anything with “gift” in the name a bit higher | Title contains gift → push up |
| Don't put two of the same colour side by side | Colour mix on: spread colours through the grid |
How rules combine with goals
Rules sit on top of the collection's goal. A collection set to most revenue with the rule “push linen” still puts fast sellers first, but linen products get a lift. Rules set to top or bottom move their products to the very top or bottom. Pinned products are never moved.
Every re-sort explains itself. A product moved by a rule says so: “Linen shirt up 3. Your rule: push linen until 31 Aug.”
Why it's cheap to run
Your sentence is read by an AI model once, when you save it, and turned into a structured rule. From then on the daily sort is plain arithmetic on your sales and stock. That keeps sorting fast and stops it drifting: the same rule always does the same thing.
Questions
- What if StoreAi misreads my rule?
- You see the saved rule straight away, with the products it matches. Edit it or delete it before the next sort.
- Can I have different rules per collection?
- Yes. Rules belong to a collection, so your sale collection and your new-in collection can behave completely differently.
- Do rules cost credits?
- No. Saving a rule is included in Growth and Pro, and the daily sorts that follow use no AI at all.
