What's kept
| Change | What you can restore |
|---|---|
| Titles | Per product |
| Descriptions | Per product, with images, tables and embeds intact |
| Search listing | Meta title and meta description, together |
| Image alt text | All images on a product |
| Product facts | The attributes StoreAi published |
| Collection order | Any earlier order, or your original sort type |
How it works
Before StoreAi writes anything to Shopify, it saves a snapshot of the fields it's about to change. History shows each change with when it happened, what changed and a Restore button. Restoring writes the old values back and is itself kept in history, so you can't lose anything by undoing either.
Nothing is written without your approval in the first place: rewrites wait for review, sorts can be previewed, and listings stay drafts until you publish.
Questions
- How long is history kept?
- For as long as StoreAi is installed. When you uninstall, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
- What if I edited a product in Shopify after StoreAi changed it?
- Restoring puts back the version from before StoreAi's change, for that field only. Your other edits are left alone.
